Medallions Tag ~ Red Rubber Designs DT

Happy Thursday! Time for some stamping inspiration from Red Rubber Designs! I made this mixed media tag with copper accents, and a bohemian vibe featuring the Mini Medallions, Medallions,  For Everything, and Be Happiness Rubber Stamps.

I started with white gesso that I coated a Ranger Manila Tag with, and to the TCW stencil in the center. Once dry, I used Broken China, Blueprint Sketch, Wild Honey, and Vintage Photo Distress Spray Stains with a light spritz of water on my tag, and on a separate sheet of white cardstock for the medallions.

When that dried, I reapplied my stencil to the tag to add Prima's Metallique Wax (Vintage Gold and Rich Copper) over the gesso. Then I embossed the design along the top and bottom in copper with the For Everything Unmounted Stamp. Using the cardstock that I previously sprayed, I embossed the Medallions Stamp onto it, fussy-cutting, and layering it three times to make a flower.

I used three of the Mini Medallions, also embossed in copper, and popped two of them up with foam dots.

The phrase was stamped in black with the Be Happiness Unmounted Rubber Stamp onto a piece of torn vellum, inked along the edges with Chipped Sapphire Distress Ink. Then I scattered and glued some blue sequins along the tag.

I finished off the top with some fibers and beads that I strung together. Thanks for looking!

Dylusions Fall Leaves ~ FotoBella DT

Happy first day of Fall! I'm welcoming my favorite season with this 2 page spread in my art journal done with Ranger Dyan Reaveley's Dylusions Paints from FotoBella.com.

Before spraying my pages with some water, I placed some wax paper behind them to protect the other pages. Then I used my fingers to apply Squeezed Orange, Funky Fuchsia, and Crushed Grape to the page on the right, working quickly and spraying some more, before turning the page on the left down over the paints to reveal this background.

Once dry, I used the Ranger Dylusions Diamond in the Rough Stencil in random places with my Mini Ink Blending Tool to apply Dirty Martini, Pomegranate Seed, Melted Chocolate, Pure Sunshine, and Tangerine Dream paints, using the same colors for the leaves.

The leaves were done with one of my oldest stencils, but any one would do, including the Bo Bunny Falling Leaves Stickable Stencil or the Dylusions Fronds of Foliage Stencil

To create leaves flying around, I made some with crisp paint lines, while leaving others with just a little bit of paint, fading the colors into the background with my Mini Blending Tool. Then I stamped some texture onto them with the Bo Bunny Rough It Up Stamp.

SO much fun with these Dylusions Paints from FotoBella.com! Thanks for looking!

Anticipation Bo Bunny Serendipity Layout ~ FotoBella DT

Hello! I'm back with another layout that I scrapped with one my favorite photos of my sister, while she was pregnant and absolutely glowing, using Bo Bunny's Serendipity Collection from FotoBella.com.

I started by combining some of the papers from the paper pack with ones from the Ephemera. The background and wood papers were inked along the edges with my Blending Tool using Chipped Sapphire Distress Ink. Then I used a large punch along the top and bottom of the leaf paper, and inked the edges with Broken China and Pine Needle Distress Inks, which I also used for the titlework, in addition to a coat of Sprinkled Sugar Stickles.

From the Chipboard, I used the large flourish, butterflies, and tab on top of the photo where I added the date.

To the smallerBo Bunny Blossoms (Clover Dahlia). I added a spritz of Broken China Distress Spray Stain.

I used my Tim Holtz Paper Distresser along some of my paper edges, and finished them off with machine stitching, which I also did in between the green laces from the Ephemera. The brads are also included in the Ephemera.

Thanks for looking, and shop FotoBella.com to get this collection, with a huge selection of many others found here

Rise and Shine Birthday Card ~ Red Rubber Designs DT

My mom has always loved chickens and roosters, so I definitely had her in mind with the Rise and Shine Cling Mounted Stamp from Red Rubber Designs, when making her birthday card this year!

After stamping the Rise and Shine image twice with permanent black ink onto white cardstock, I colored it with Distress Inks, and fussy-cut the rooster from the second image.

Then I mounted the first image onto black cardstock with punched edges, and popped up the fussy-cut rooster over the ribbon, recycling the kraft bag behind it.

Using the same water stamping technique as my last post found here, and the same Rays of Hope Cling Mounted Stamp, I just changed the colors of my Distress Inks, and tucked it behind the kraft bag. Then I stamped the sentiment onto the rays using the Sophisticated Sentiments Unmounted Rubber Stamp.

All of the flowers were stamped twice, colored with Distress Inks, and layered and curled using the My Sunshine Stamp. I love how they look against the gingham, stamped with the Gingham Background Stamp using Palette Inks ( Bordeaux, Moulin Rouge, and L'Amore Red ) for an ombre look.

I finished it off with distressed edges, and machine stitching. Thanks for looking, and shop Red Rubber Designs for these stamps and more!

Rise and Shine Birthday Card (Sneak Peek) ~ Red Rubber Designs DT

Happy Thursday! My mom's love of chickens and roosters definitely inspired her birthday card this year, featuring the Rise and Shine Cling Mounted Rubber Stamp from Red Rubber Designs! I recycled a small kraft bag to showcase it.

Using the same Water Stamping Technique that I shared on my last Red Rubber Designs Blog post, with the same Rays of Hope stamp, I just changed the colors of my Distress Inks. Please view today's post here to see the results, and how I combined the Gingham Background, My Sunshine, and Sophisticated Sentiments Unmounted Stamps from Red Rubber Designs to create this special card!
